Sunday
Fly to Darwin and be transferred to your hotel.

Monday
Morning to relax, prior to joining a city sights tour this afternoon for the perfect introduction to Darwin, with expert commentary by a local guide. See the Chinese Temple and the lush Botanical Gardens. Tour the historic sites of the city including the East Point Military Precinct. See the Stokes Hill Wharf area and the Mooring Basin. There is also time available to explore the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory.

Tuesday
Free day in Darwin, to explore our tropical city of the North, many outdoor cafe's and pub's, along with a varied selection of fine dinning. Or join an optional tour to World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park ($155pp plus Park fee's).

Wednesday
Join The Ghan for the only North - South Transcontinental Train journey in the World. Pausing in Katherine, where you have the opportunity to cruise through Nitmiluk National Park. Continue mid afternoon to Alice Springs.

Thursday
Arrive in Alice Springs mid morning, Tour the sights of 'The Alice' including the historic Telegraph Station and the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Learn how this marvelous facility operates to provide a 'Mantle of Safety' to the people of the 'outback'. We visit the School of the Air, where sometimes we are able to listen to the children take lessons on air, as well as the Alice Springs Reptile Centre where you will see unique Central Australian reptiles such as the Perentie lizard and Thorny Devil. We also take in a panoramic view of Alice Springs from Anzac Hill.

Friday
Free day in Alice Springs, maybe join a day tour to Ayers Rock & Olgas ( $205pp ).

Saturday
Rejoin The Ghan for the overnight run to Adelaide.

Sunday
After a 3100km train journey, return flight to your home port, own arrangements from the Ghan to Adelaide airport. Or add extra nights in Adelaide, City of Churches for only $130 per night per room at the Holiday Inn on Hindley.
